Trying Out Pilates
Oh my gosh. I tried out the above Pilates workout today...let's just say all of my muscles are quivering and I'm not sure I'll be able to walk at work today! Don't get me wrong, it was a fantastic workout and it wasn't boring or monotonous, but it was very very challenging for a beginner level. Definitely will be adding this to my home workout favorites! By the way, the move they have in the still shot is the killer. I was able to get through 30-35 minutes of the video and had to use a lot of the modifications, but I still got a very effective workout.
As a bonus, I finally got my post-strength training protein shake recipe down! I was running low on milk today so I put in 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein, 2 frozen strawberries, and 5-6 chunks of my frozen mixed fruit mix. Oh my goodness, so delicious and just the perfect consistency! I can actually drink it from a straw now! I even drank the whole glass and didn't feel nauseated. I think adding the water does the trick because mixing whey protein + just milk made my shakes into a very thick nasty consistency. So glad I finally figured out a better protein shake recipe. #thursdaysuccess
