First Weigh In!
So my scale finally came in the mail today.
Just quickly talking about scales and weighing yourself. I remember back in high school and college I was obsessed with weighing myself. Like multiple times per day, everyday...it became an obsession. When I was yo-yo dieting earlier this year, I was like nahh I'm not going to weigh myself (primarily because I was ashamed) and decided to track progress based off non-scale victories like clothing and stuff.
But I quickly realized that part of the reason my diet fails at the 2 week mark is because I look for major changes like dropping multiple pant sizes in a short period of time, which is of course not reality. Therefore, I decided to try weekly weigh-ins as a way of tracking progress this time around. Let's see how it works!

I'm 204 pounds! I know all scales are different, and I don't know how this scale compares to my doctor's office but at my annual physical back in April I was 211 pounds. I weighed myself first thing in the morning before any food or drinks and without any clothes on, just for consistency. I'm not sure if this weight is a little less than my actual weight because I've lost a crap ton of water weight in the last few days since I've been sweating my butt off from my apartment being incredibly hot and the extremely sweaty workout I did yesterday. I also didn't really eat all that much yesterday since my PICU shift was a little cray.
I'll weigh myself probably once a week just to track progress. I've been thinking a lot about my goal weight and to be honest, I'm not sure if I even have one. I think I would like to ideally be about 120-130 pounds since that's a healthy weight for my height of 5'1. But right now, my goal is to be 195 pounds by the time I leave for vacation on August 4th.
